Question: What type of dr. fixes deep acne facial scars? (Posted by: muffineye on 2008-01-14 12:24:48) I have deep acne scars that I want to have treated this year. It's mostly on my cheeks, but also all over my face. It's real bad so I'm looking for a medical procedure, not over the counter and topical stuff (I've already tried that with no results). I'm just confused on which type of doctor to see; a Dermatologist? Cosmetic Dermatologist? Plastic Surgeon? If anyone has knowledge of this area or has done this, I'd really appreciate any help Thanks.

However, that may be expensive if not covered by your insurance, and you should make sure you've seen a few Esthetiscians (sp? - esthetiques) first. I can recommend a great one in central new york.
