Question: Question about switching acne medicines? (Posted by: Chris on 2010-06-10 21:52:00) I am currently using the generic Minocycline in combination with Differin (topical gel). However, my dermatologist recommended that I switch to Accutane (the generic form) in order to clear up a severe recent breakout. How long will I need to be off Minocycline in order for my system to be clear of it and to start using Accutane? I will not take this answer as the last word on the issue, as I will obviously consult my doctor first. I would appreciate just a general idea of when I will be able to start Accutane if I stop taking Minocycline now.
