Question: Doxycycline..acne med that works?

Im a fourteen year old girl and i was prescribed to Doxycycline HYC 100 MG CAP WSW by my dermatologist like early june for mild acne and clogged pores. I took it every day for about 23 days and my acne cleared up and most of the bacteria was gone from my pores. when i stopped using it, i got diarrhea and my stomach hurts often now but i didnt get dizzy or anything like the most common side effects of this med. i also gained weight when i was taking the med but it could be cause i didn't workout much at that time. its been about 15 days sence i stopped using this med and my acne is back and just like how it use to be with clogged pores. so my question is should i keep taking this med until my acne goes away again? or should i see my dermatologist again before reusing it? why wont it deliver permanent results? and is weight gain a common side effect of doxycycline? thanks :) |
