Question: I have really bad acne :(...can anyone help?

Okay. First off I'm 18 and a couple years ago I didn't even have one pimple on my face...now my face is so bad that I hate to wake up every mornin and even go hang out with my friends I try to avoid my friends so they don't see me like this so when I'm not at work I lock myself in my house...I wana go out and do things but I have no self confidence and I know that when I do go out that's all ppl see when they look at me...really right now I am jus super depressed and hate myself really idk how I inherited this noone in my family has had acne as far as I know...honestly I don't have a desire to live anymore cause with a face like this nooone will hire me and ill never be able to go no where in life so what's the point...I'm tired of living like this but luckily jus last week I started on accutane so maybe that will work but if it doesn't. I might be done for good.. so plz if there are any success stories out there plz give me some hope that it will all go away. |

I took accutane too. from march-august. my face is completely clear now and i have not had a breakout since june/ july. be patient, but it will work!! you'll dry up so for your lips i recommend Aquaphor (made by Eucerine). My face took about 3 weeks to completely clear up and dry out while i was on the medicine. Good luck, it's totally worth it in the end! |

Do not squeeze, scratch, rub, or touch your acne. This increases sebum production. Plus, squeezing ruptures the membranes below your skin, which spreads infection and actually creates more pimples.You can try this. Boil water in a pan, add some apple cider vinegar and steam your face for 5 to 10 minutes.You can do this at least twice a week for best results. Is it acne or spots or cystic pimples,i don't know what treatments there are for acne,but i had spots and cystic pimples,creams and lotions didn't work and i was fed up with the endless advice probably from people who have never had a spot,like wash your hands,don't touch. your face,stop your skin getting greasy,don't eat chips or chocolate,don't drink alcohol or smoke,etc,etc,etc. i took all this advice and guess what happened NOTHING,i know how depressed you feel, i don't get spots anymore because prevention is better than cure,i found out what i was eating that i was allergic to,i stopped eating this ingredient found in many foods on supermarket shelves and now i have a healthy smooth complexion,i can give you advice but not for acne |
