Question: I wake up with oily skin... [i'm a guy]?
(Posted by: One Two Four on 2010-07-19 21:13:15)
I have mild acne. I use a cream at night and an oil- free moisturizer (the dual action one from Johnson & Johnson) around my face to prevent dry skin and the onset of oily skin. Yet almost every single night, I wake up and I can literally FEEL the oil on my face - - I drink lots of water during the day, have a fairly non- greasy diet (depending on the day), and change my pillow case on a regular basis. And yet, my face is always shiny and oily in the morning. Any tips as to get rid of or even better, PREVENT this from happening? |

I like to use those oil absorbing sheets. Clean and clear makes them, as well as other skin care lines. |

Not sure of your age, but this will most likely go away when you're older. Props on being a guy and taking care of your skin, not enough guys do this = ( This happens to me as well, but I don't think there's really a sure way to prevent this. Just wash your face in the morning when you wake up, in the afternoon if it's feeling oily, and at night. Treat your skin how you think it should be treated based on how it looks and feels: (if it's oily looking, go wash) (if it isn't, leave it) (if it's dry looking, moisturize) (if it's dry on some areas and oily on others, wash then moisturize on the dry areas) oil blotting sheets are good for on the go....or if you don't feel like washing at the moment, but you should definitiely wash at night, everyday. P.s. This is all from experience, though I don't use blotting sheets because I just use MAC's Studio Fix compact foundation for touching up on those oily spots during the day... |
